Hey there, I'm beth!

Hi, I’m Beth, a parent of one, school based occupational therapist turned parent advocate.

My passion is evening the playing field of information about IEPs so parents can advocate for their child. We can’t leverage the system without first knowing the system.

ParentFriendlyOT started as I myself started motherhood and encountered the nasty 4 month sleep regression. Looking for answers, I found someone I identified and trusted-and it changed our sleep journey.

The next week I sat in 7 VERY different IEPs at work, each parent having different knowledge of the system and with different case managers with differing levels of parent friendly-ness.

I often make resource lists for my parents, so I ran a search to find a parent-friendly resource for IEP’s.

I didn’t find it.

So I made it.
